Photographer
Sam St Jon is an award-winning artist from Wollongong, NSW, who uses photography to create lucsious, affective and often funny tableaux that restage religious and renaissance paintings for a contemporary audience. Sam’s pictures employ pose, lighting, drama and cheeky humour to parody the past and challenge the present, and are made using models, props, creative vision and time — no photoshopping. These editioned, museum quality photographs are all professionally framed in beautiful gilt timber and glass.
