Description
Dan Thrax is originally from the Illawarra, and is now living in the Georges River area in Sydney. He is the vocalist and guitarist for Sydney hardcore bands Numbskull and Scared/Sick, and his work can usually be seen on gig posters, album covers, skate decks and in zines. Dan’s work involves hours of fine pen work and hundreds of thousands of tiny dots, and the subject matter is usually riddled with dark humour. In this series of work Dan has chosen to focus on instances of specifically Australian folklore and mythology, including the infamous Blue Mountains Panther, the terrifying Drop Bear, the Weirdo that was photographed before the fatal Ghost-Train fire at Sydney’s Luna Park, and the classic Aussie Bunyip.
These works measure 40 x 32.5cm framed. They sit in black glass-fronted frames, with professionally cut round mats.
